When Energy Gets Stuck

Have you ever had those days when nothing feels quite right, but you can’t put your finger on why? You’re moving, working, talking, doing—but inside it feels like something is pressing against you, holding you back. That’s what blocked energy feels like. It’s like your spirit is trying to move, but the current is jammed.

Blocked energy isn’t always obvious. Sometimes it shows up in the body—a tightness in your chest, a knot in your stomach, or shoulders that feel like they’re carrying stones. Other times, it’s emotional: irritability you can’t explain, a dull sadness, or a restless fog that just won’t lift. Even mentally, it’s like you’re trying to think through static, every idea weighed down.

Living with that kind of blockage is exhausting. Everything takes more effort—getting out of bed, having conversations, making decisions. It’s like driving with the emergency brake half on: technically you’re moving, but you’re burning through your energy just to keep going.

The hardest part is the disconnection. When energy is stuck, it’s not just about feeling tired—it’s about feeling cut off. From yourself. From others. From that spark that usually makes life feel alive.

And often, blocked energy has roots. Sometimes it’s stress we’ve been carrying so long we barely notice it. Sometimes it’s unspoken words, memories we’ve tucked away, or emotions we’ve pressed down because they felt too heavy at the time. But just because we ignore them doesn’t mean they disappear. They stay, quietly jamming the flow.

The good news? Energy wants to move. That’s its nature. And while blockages feel heavy, they aren’t permanent. The very act of noticing—pausing, breathing, and admitting “something feels stuck”—is the first step in loosening the grip.

Blocked energy may feel like a wall, but more often than not, it’s a doorway waiting to be opened.
