Reiki

Reiki originated in Japan in the early 1900s, developed by Mikao Usui, a spiritual teacher and healer. After a deep meditation and spiritual experience on Mount Kurama, Usui developed the Reiki method as a way to promote healing, balance, and inner peace. Over time, Reiki was passed down through students and teachers, eventually making its way to the West. Today, Reiki is practiced around the world and recognized as a safe, complementary therapy for the mind, body, and spirit.

A Brief History of Reiki

How Does Reiki Work?

Reiki is based on the idea that life energy flows through all living things. When this energy is low or blocked, we’re more likely to feel stressed, fatigued, or unwell. During a Reiki session, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above your body, helping to balance your energy and encourage healing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

What to Expect in a Session

Who Can Benefit?

A Reiki session is peaceful and relaxing. You’ll lie down fully clothed on a comfortable table while soft music plays in the background. The practitioner will move their hands through a series of positions, focusing on different areas of the body. Many clients describe the experience as deeply calming, often feeling warmth, tingling, or a sense of inner peace.

Reiki is safe and gentle for people of all ages. Whether you're dealing with daily stress, recovering from illness, managing chronic conditions, or simply seeking greater balance, Reiki offers a space for rest, release, and rejuvenation.
